What We Believe
The Bible alone is the inspired and inerrant word of God and is the final authority on all matters within it. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
There is one infinite and personal God who is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that all things were created by Him and for Him. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Colossians 1:16)
Jesus Christ is God the Son who became a human being, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was without sin, died a substitutionary death for all mankind, was buried and raised to life on the third day, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. (John 1:1,14, Matthew 1:18-25, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4,
Acts 1:9-11, Hebrews 10:12)Man (both male and female, distinct but of equal value, dignity, and worth) was created by God, in God’s own image and without sin. Tempted by Satan, man freely chose to disobey God, bringing sin, death, and condemnation to all mankind. As a result, every human being is born spiritually dead, alienated from God, and subject to God’s righteous wrath. (Genesis 3:1-6, Romans 5:12, Romans 1:18, Romans 3:10-12,23)
Jesus is the one and only Savior. He died a substitutionary death on the cross to atone for the sins of all mankind. He fulfilled the justice owed for our sins so that we can be forgiven, made righteous, and restored to a right and eternal relationship with God. (Isaiah 53:4-6, Romans 3:22-26, Romans 5:1-2)
Salvation (saved from eternal spiritual death/wrath to a restored relationship with God) is a free gift from God to anyone who would receive it. It is received by trusting in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of sin and accepting Him as Lord and Savior. This includes the need for one’s confession and repentance of sin. (Romans 3:22, Acts 16:31, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9, Ephesians 2:8-9, Luke 13:3)
The Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, and seals every believer in Jesus. The Spirit empowers us to live as witnesses of Christ. All of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to His church today. (John 14:16-17, John 16:7-11, Titus 3:5-
6, Ephesians 1:13-14, Acts 1:8, Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12-14, 1 Peter 4:10-11)Jesus will return with His church and will rule and reign on the earth for 1000 years and then for all eternity in a new heaven and new earth. (John 14:3, 1 Thessalonians1:9-10, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, 1 Corinthians 15:51-55, Revelation 19:11-16, Revelation 22:1-5)
The resurrection of the dead will happen for all. Those who are saved will be raised to everlasting life with God and those who are not, to eternal hell and destruction. (Matthew 25:34-46, John 5:24-29, Revelation 20:11-15)
